A slideshow travel narrative exploring life and ritual then and now starring Sophy Naess, Matthew Lutz Kinoy, and a host of figurative and utilitarian sculptures in locations sacred and otherwise. Highlighting sculptural traditions, archaeological arguments, artistic concerns, and civil unrest. Beginning and ending at the Palace of Knossos.
The slideshow starts at 19.30h on Friday the 22nd.

Opening with the opportunity of overnight stay and breakfast. Konstnärerna Maja Droetto, Elin Wikström, Tomas Ferm, Eliana Ivarsdotter Haddad, Stefan Karlsson, Sara Lännerström och Bo Melin förvandlar under perioden 23 juli – 14 augusti galleri 54 till ett fullt fungerande vandrarhem/sovsal.
Sleep Inn Galleri 54 erbjuder logi i Göteborg under en händelserik sommar med bl.a musikfestivalen Way out west och Gothia Cup till ett rimligt pris och ger samtidigt de boende en möjlighet att delta i ett dynamiskt konstverk där de själva i allra högsta grad är en påverkande del.
Mot en kostnad av 99-175 kr (låg/högsäsong) bor man under enkla former i detta totalkonstverk; sovsal med våningsängar, gemensamt kök och toa samt bar.
De deltagande konstnärerna kommer att fungera som personal och har på olika sätt bidragit till att ge besöket en totalupplevelse med egna projekt och händelser. Under utställningsperioden kommer happenings, konserter mm. att äga rum med inbjudna artister.

The artists Maja Droetto, Elin Wikström, Tomas Ferm, Eliana Ivarsdotter Haddad, Stefan Karlsson, Sara Lännerström and Bo Melin are transforming Galleri 54 into a fully functioning hostel/dorm during the period 23 July - 14 August.
Sleep-Inn Galleri 54 offers accommodation in Gothenburg at a reasonable price during this eventful summer, with for instance Gothia Cup and the music festival Way Out West. The guests have the opportunity to participate in a dynamic work of art in which they themselves will be a highly influential part.
At a cost of 99-175 skr per night (low / high season) one stays in this total work of art with modest facilities - dorm with bunk beds, kitchenette, bar and toilet.
The participating artists will serve as staff and have contributed their own different projects and events to make the visit a complete experience. During the exhibition period happenings, concerts etc. will be taking place.
