Installationen Constellation No. 2 är ett mörkt rum där olikfärgade stjärnor lyser på natthimlen. När ögonen hunnit vänja sig vid mörkret framträder olika elektroniska apparater, som fläktar, datorer
och eltandborstar. Det som ser ut som stjärnor är i själva verket vilolägeslamporna på elektroniken.

Tillsammans was made in a recently closed choclaté store and café, the original furniture was left behined and used in the installation as it was. The work was experienced one person at a time. The narrative started to play from the headphones when the viewer sat down on one of the chairs.The story was specifically written for this abandoned space that had lost its identity and waited to become something else. All the lights in the space where computer controlled and was synchronized with the narration.
The recording of the story was done together with an actor in the same room. I have used a binaural
recording technique with “‘in-ear”‘ microphones. Heard through headphones this creates a very credible three dimesional sound in the room.

Text from Christian Anderssons hemsida:The two chairs change in colour every 4th minute. The white chair turns black at the same time as the black one turns white. What looks like two ordinary chairs on display, is in fact two totally modified replicas holding an internal water system. This allows the chairs to change in temperature, as cold or hot water is pumped through their system. The changing temperature affects the surface of the chairs, coated with thermochrome (heat-reacting) paint. When the chair is cold, it is black, but when heated up it turns white.

In novels, plays, lectures and installations,
Simon Fujiwara scripts and performs his
own biography as fiction – a drama in which
he acts out multiple characters: artist, no-
velist, anthropologist, eroticist, architect
and playwright.
In Welcome to the Hotel Munber, Fuji-
wara presents an unfinished novel detai-
ling the life of his parents under the Franco
dictatorship. Set within a reconstruction
of the Spanish hotel bar that his parent’s
owned and ran in Catalanya in the 1970s
during the last years of the Franco dic-
tatorship, Fujiwara’s daily performances
pit the regime’s brutal sexual repression
against the dilemmas of presenting inti-
mate family history as erotica. As part of
Franco’s brutal censorship policy, all erotic
literature and manifestations of gay cultu-
re were destroyed.
